I am a recent graduate of Grand Canyon University with ten years' experience working with and teaching children. I am very passionate about teaching and the opportunity to work closely with students is a very rewarding experience. I thrive in individual tutoring settings and make the most of helping a student receive the help they need and are unable to receive in large class environments, and that leads to improvement in all subject areas. One of my strengths is the ability to make a strong connection with my students, a goal I have reached consistently as a class leader at church as well as traditional classroom settings. I believe that gaining the trust and respect of your students is a key element in their academic success. I always ensure my students are content knowing my concern for their overall well-being in addition to improving their skills in class. As students improve, so does their confidence, which in turn leads to better attitudes and overall views of school and life. As a tutor, it also benefits students to have another perspective on their studies and performance. I always maintain a positive environment for my students and show them that learning is fun. I am committed to improving their skills and their desire for learning.
